Karma

(This session was held for John Pitre and his wife Peg of Franklin, LA, following John’s telephone call to Jane earlier this evening.  The call ended at approximately 8 PM.  See also the 364^th, 366^th sessions, etc.

(John reported that his wife was very ill, had been in the hospital recently for several weeks, etc., and had not entered into a very deep trance state during sessions with a hypnotherapist; Seth had recommended Peg see such a professional.  This evening John asked Jane if Seth could say something about why Peg had followed, or chosen, such a role in this physical life – a role seemingly without reward or hope; she has multiple sclerosis.

(Jane herself began to wonder, she said, about answers to such complicated questions after the call.  Jane said she felt Seth getting her ready for the session early.  She began speaking in trance in a quite voice, using many pauses, her eyes opening often as usual.)

Good evening.

(“Good evening, Seth.”)

Now, we have strong electrical brain discharges, in disorganized patterns.

The woman has strongly resisted the hypnosis sessions, and has suffered relapses rather than suffer the intense psychic and psychological reorganization that would be necessary for any meaningful recovery.

Emotions are electrical, magnetic realities.  Sufficient enough repression here has caused these rampant electric brain discharges that automatically affect the motor system.  Deep within, there is no peace upon which stability is based, hence the constant erratic disorders, and the lack of muscular and motor control.

The hypnotic sessions still represent her best chances, if the resistances can be conquered.

Now.  The basic idea of karma is not punishment.  Karma presents the opportunity for development; to make use of opportunities that were not taken advantage of, to fill in gaps ignorance, to enlarge understanding through experience, to do what should be done.

Free choice is always involved.  The purpose is always knowledge and development, rather than punishment, self-punishment.  The woman, in a past life, was once a man, Italian, in a hill village.  We will try to fill you in on times and dates and locations later.

He lost his own wife, and was left with a highly neurotic and completely crippled daughter, for whom he cared for many years.  The woman’s name as a man was Nicolo Vanguardi and the daughter’s name was Rosalina.  He resented the girl, and while he cared for her he did not do so kindly.

He wanted to remarry.  No one would have him because of his daughter.  The girl, when she could, defied him.  She was a rather handsome-looking young woman, though not of stable temperament, crippled but not deformed.

When she was 33 she was more youthful appearing than women much younger who were forced to work in the fields.  They had a very small farm, and itinerant help.  A widowed man with no children, from a nearby village, came here to help on the farm.  He fell in love with the daughter, and despite her condition, took her to his home village.

The father was thoroughly embittered.  The daughter had left too late; he was too old.  No one would have him.  He had no one now to talk to, and he hated his daughter the more, and railed that she had forsaken him in his old age, after he had cared for her through the long years.

The father had a later life, and a very successful one also in Italy, in a town badly bombed in the Second World War.  Here he was a woman of some artistic ability, the mother of two sons, one who had been connected with him in the past.

Here the personality was born only fifty miles away, in space, from the earlier existence; and as the wife of a wealthy landowner, often drove through the very land where the small house still stood, with its farm.

In this existence however the personality of its own free will chose to understand in a different context, and work out problems faces so poorly in the earlier life.  This time the personality is John’s wife, being cared for, you see, rather than caring for; being physically dependent.  The personality could not and would not, out of fear, try to understand the circumstances and position of the crippled daughter.  Not for a moment could he then bear to contemplate the inner reality in personal terms.

This time he plays that part is and completely immersed in it.  There are connections.  John was the man whom the daughter left.  Now.  John’s wife loves him, and has been made subconsciously to see the good points in his personality.  In the past he hated the man who took away the daughter.

Through the change of roles, Peg now gains insight on the past failures, and also helps her present husband, indeed, to become more contemplative, and to seek for answers to questions that he would not have asked otherwise.  She is adding to his development, and working out very grievous flaws that existed in her own personality in the past.

There were many reasons why John and his wife met and began their relationship.  While such situations as Peg’s illness are chosen by the entity, the individual is always left to work out its own solution.  Complete recovery, illness or early death, for example, are not preordained on the part of the entity.  The general situation is set up in response to deep inner involvements.

The problem is a challenge set up by the entity for one of its personalities, but the outcome is left up to the individual.  This was the major stumbling block, the last major one for this personality.  Other lives had been fulfilling, but the personality had never set for itself any position in the past that was not one of strength.

The illness itself was secondary.  One does not choose illness, per se, for a life situation.  In order for the personality to see its own past activities clearly, it felt that it had to adopt a position of dependency this time.

It should be mentioned in such cases the inner self, as divorced from the more accessible subconscious, is aware of the situation, and finds release in very valid terms, through frequent inner communications, whereby past successes are remembered, and to some extent re-experienced.  The dream state becomes an extremely vivid time for these activities, and they are not imaginary.

These experiences, deeply subjective, reassure the whole personality of its complete nature.  It knows it is more than the self that it has for a time chosen to be.  At our next session we will go into these matters more completely, for there is an inner logic that may not be at first apparent.

John remembers subconsciously the old situation.  This is partially the cause of some of the negative feelings, but there is no guilt in any of this.  No one save the individual entity knows in what directions weaknesses lie that need correction, and it sets about forming life dramas in which these can be faced.

His wife chose to solve several problems this time, rather than string them out.  This is a characteristic of that entity – an impatience and yet a daring, because the situation represented such a challenge.  All of the weak points were intensified, hence the gravity of the physical condition.

The entity preferred this rather than a series of smaller difficulties.  In this John acquiesced, to learn patience and forbearing, to take what he considered his medicine in one dose, so to speak.

We will give you some information concerning his past lives at another session.  But both of them have set themselves to learn compassion, patience, and forbearing.  They chose different ways because of their backgrounds.  In one way he has been too precise, and in another too impetuous.  They are both learning from each other.

Such a situation allows John’s present wife to telescope the experience needed into one life-situation, to delve deeply, and face at once problems that could otherwise take several existences.

Only a bold personality, and a courageous one, would attempt this.  Spiritually, both personalities will benefit.  This is the last reincarnation for John’s wife because of this decision.  The personality will then have experience in other than earthly existences.

The daughter, the original daughter, you see, is now Peg’s mother.  No one else from that life is known to them, though the original family was a large one.  There is an historical connection with the village, or close area nearby; and not too far way a fort, a Roman fort, within fifty miles I believe of the town.

If the overall entity feels that the problem has been sufficiently solved, then it will end this life situation.  But there is also a connection here with John, and the wife’s personality will not leave until John has also sufficiently achieved all benefits from the relationship that his entity hoped for.

There are also other considerations.  This is a last reincarnation.  The personality could choose, and attempt, a partial recover.  There is no predestination.  Until the personality itself has definitely decided whether or not to end a life situation, no one else can know.

When the decision is made, even subconsciously, then we can know.  The answer now is uncertain, for no definite decision has been made.  There are other personal problems on John’s part, which he must work out in any case.  He knows what these are.

Premonitions Of A Future Manifestation

(Yesterday afternoon, November 28, while working in my studio in the back of the apartment, I had a vision of a painting.  I recognized it as mine, or one I will do, of Bill Gallagher.  …  )

The vision that you saw was of a future painting that you will do.

You are allowing yourself more inner freedom again, and so permitted yourself to see this.  There are some distortions, simply because the painting was interpreted in the light of your present knowledge.

There were also some hints in it that you will use subconsciously, and from which new developments will grow.  The sending out of another manuscript is symbolically important to Ruburt, and represents definite progress.  (High, Low and Psycho.)  Both of you need rest this evening.  In your sleep you will correlate recent developments so that better use will be made of them.  Your activities in the sleep state will actually be rather ambitious, and you will generate considerable energy from them.  We more than made up for missed sessions by the recent developments.  I will not keep you therefore, although I will answer any questions if you have them.

(“Now that I have conscious memory of seeing the vision, I’m wondering just how much of this memory is going to influence my actual production of the work.”)

You would have been consciously aware of the painting whether or not you were consciously aware of the vision.  It is you who think of the painting in terms of time, and who perceive it in this manner.  The painting exists and in one reality you have already completed it.  In your present framework however you seem to be waiting for the developments to occur.

You are already the self who will paint that portrait.  The insights that will lead to it already exist.  You could refuse, but the lines of probability so far are against this.  The book you are reading puts things simply enough to be immediately practical.  You will discover a rather powerful impact upon your lives, both of you, as a result of it.

There is much more here that the author does not understand, but he has hit upon excellent methods, and you can take advantage of them.  The paintings that you will paint do exist, because you have in one sense the potential to create them.  They exist in potential form.  It is not true however that anyone else could pick them up, so to speak, from cosmic energy.  They are attuned to you, and only your particular individuality is equipped to pick them up.  Do you understand here?

Here I differ you see with the author.

(“You’re talking about Psycho-Cybernetics.”)

I am.  In not developing your abilities to the point where you can tune in on these paintings, that belong to your whole self, you impede your progress, and to that extent deny portions of creativity.

The paintings already exist however as definite potential forms, already created by your whole self.  Only you can give them physical reality however.  You can only fail in not giving them physical form, and you can only fail to give them physical form by refusing to open up your inner channels to the intuitions of the whole self.

There are some significant differences here you see, in my knowledge and Maltz’s interpretation as given in his book.  To the extent that you fail to materialize your potentials in physical form, you have failed in a given physical existence.  The knowledge that the forms and the paintings are there, however, is all-important.

The natural development of your abilities in other words already exists.  You must merely be ready, intuitively alive, prepared and assured, and these developments will appear to you.  Great artists are those who materialize physically the paintings already created by the whole self in potential form.

Now this whole self is completely unique, yet the energy that composes it is a part of the energy that also is the ground of being, for all other consciousness.  Therefore when you are true to yourself, when you materialize these paintings clearly, there is also within them a ground of knowledge, intuition and being, that is instantly felt by all other individuals.

This is what makes a painting great, the validity of the inner ground of being within them, interpreted in highly individual ways.  The individuality itself, if it is intuitively valid, will lead to a universal inner recognition on the part of all who perceive such a painting.

...  In your sleeping hours you will learn much this evening.  You need the time to correlate the new data.  

You have a wealth of paining material, of potential forms to draw upon.  They are simply yours for the asking.  They are paintings that no one else can materialize in physical form but you.  Knowing this gives you a great advantage.

Psychokinesis

Psychokinesis

(This evening before the session Jane tried to move a table by herself, with little success.  At 9 PM I sat at the table with her, and we succeeded only in obtaining a couple of small movements.)

Now, good evening.

I will go into the matter of the tables to some degree. Give us a moment.  I am simply clearing our lines.  Ruburt did overemphasize his critical faculties this evening, yet he was psychically alert.

You are, as I have told you, far more important than a stenographer, and your active energy was indeed not here earlier.

The willing fingers and good intent, yes, but the active focus of your energies was not here.  Ruburt does rely on you as a partner in these endeavors.  It is not a matter necessarily of how much time you spend, for admittedly your hours are well consumed.  It is a matter of your active, active interest, and the enthusiastic focus of energy, whether or not you are directly involved in a given experiment.

Now.  There are survival personalities who help you.  They operate in several different ways.  The methods vary according to their circumstances and your own.  We will describe one method at a time.

Now.  There is a flowing of energy, of psychic energy, from the sitters, that does indeed affect and alter that molecular construction of the table.  In this method the impetus comes from survival personalities, acting directly through the physical mechanism of the most sensitive person at the table.

There is also a change of molecular vibration in this person when this method is used.  Almost a merging, in which there is a freer interplay of molecules between the table and the physical organism.  A molecular bridge-field is therefore momentarily constructed.  This field may be widened, including all those sitters.  The energy of all contributes.

The molecules are unfrozen, so to speak, and become fluid, following this figure of speech.  There is a high energy output on the part of the sitters.  The strongest sensitive is like a field operator.  He or she consumes energy quickly, but that energy is like a receiving center for the energy of the survival personality operating.

The energy of the survival personality works through the nervous system, causing electrical changes, or rather triggering these in the physical brain.  These changes throw extra charge into the body, that leaps into the molecular structure of the table, causing a force field between the organism and the table.

Any mental message is also received, in an electromagnetic code, and directly transferred, bypassing the conscious mind, into movement of the new temporary force field.

On occasion, when circumstances are unusually favorable, an apparition can appear at such times, because of the power and plastic nature of the force field involved.

The flexibility and yet the focusing ability of the main sensitive is very important with this method.  Numbers of sitters are not important as numbers.  The amount of contributing energy needed may or may not require many sitters, according to their abilities to direct and focus energy.

Now.  There are other methods that are also used by surviving personalities.  Such objects may be moved without the help of any survival personality however, by the concentrated focus of psychic energy on the part of one or several individuals.

This usually requires more effort, and there will be no messages on these occasions.  In this method detailed above, there is cooperation between a survival personality and the person who is the operating sensitive.  Some contact between the fingertips and table is necessary here, to set up the proper requirements for this particular kind of force field.

The field itself builds up toward a peak of activity, and then begins to weaken.  Levitation of a table with this method is possible only when the entire table is drawn into the force field construction.

Now.  In some cases survival personalities, with experience, will directly affect matter, both assisting the sensitive and operating independently once the force field has been constructed.

In this way the force field itself acts as a medium, and these are the best conditions for complete levitation of an object.  In most cases the main sensitive present will be the operator at your end.  In a definite projection of energy however, a survival personality may, again, directly act upon the table.

Levitation may also be achieved when the sensitive is in excellent condition, and at the apex of the force field coordinates.  The force field has definite space-time coordinates and a dimensional affect that permits the manipulation of molecules from one system to another.

This is truly a space-time warp, permitting free interchanges.  Now the stability and intensity of the force field is somewhat dependent upon other circumstances, including atmospheric circumstances at your end.  The clearness of the messages is directly affected by this intensity and stability.

It is difficult to receive a clear message for example when the field itself is not stable.

For Ruburt’s class try the following combinations with the large table: Venice, Paul and Sheryl; Shirley, Venice and Sheryl; Ruth, Joan and Paul.  Ruburt for this class should keep one definite place at the table for his own.  You have three or four small problems here, rather than one large one.

(Concerning Jane’s difficulty in getting the ESP class members to succeed in moving the large living room table, in the Tuesday night class.  The Thursday afternoon class moves the same table easily.)

Ruburt’s energies are being released more and more.  The table experiments will yield good results, and some quite unanticipated ones at that.

Now.  With practice you will be able to sense those times when a force field of this nature is already building up, and take advantage of it.

…  Now, beside the information given this evening, it is true that some tables will move more easily than others.  This has nothing to do with weight or size, but to the psychic connections that have built up about the object.  Your wooden table should be a good one.  The small table is particularly good because it was built by its owner, whose own abilities are definite, though untrained.

The old desk in your family, you see (Jane pointed to me), although the spatial relationships there are difficult.  The state of your own mind will have something to do with the type of personalities that you contact, the behavior of the tables and the messages that you receive.  We will go into this at another session.

…  Let Ruburt persist.  He is onto something.  You can also benefit when you find the time.

…  The training in the use of energy will be good for both of you, and further aid you in your own separate work.  You must get the feel of using it, and of opening up as a channel.

Energy Is Action

Energy Is Action

Think in terms of energy being action.

Energy is action.  It must act and move.  It constantly seeks to know itself, and to expand.  It cannot remain static.  Its survival is dependent upon change.  Its very permanency is determined by its nature, and its nature demands constant change.

Energy or action is composed of an infinity of itself, and yet, forever acting upon itself, it forms forever new portions of itself.  Each action causes another.  …  any action or energy possesses consciousness seeking to know itself, therefore; and acting within itself it forms new consciousness that are individual and independent, and yet connected to every other consciousness.

The purpose is the expansion of consciousness itself, and this automatically leads to the knowledge that every consciousness is connected to every other, and that any harm to one is harm to all.  Time simply does not exist as a series of moments.  This is three-dimensional illusion.  Therefore in actuality no one life is lived before nor after another.

Action acts spontaneously.  In three-dimensional existence you must speak of reincarnation in terms of continuous lives, for it seems to you as if there is indeed a past, present and future.  Imagine then action or energy which is conscious, exploding into bloom like some gigantic cosmic flower, spontaneously, instantaneously, and intuitively.

You however would view this in slow motion, so that eons of time would seem to have passed.  And yet energy or action, which is consciousness, is always changing, and the shape of the flower and the blossom would constantly change.  Energy can never be lost but only change its form.

The consciousness therefore would never be destroyed in reality.  The most minute blossom within it would experience only an almost instantaneous change of form, and all of this would transpire in the breath of an instant.  The individual petals would merely change, as the personalities of men change in what seems like a series of before and after reincarnations.

And no memory, you see, would ever be lost, and nor is any memory lost.  The personality that you have now is simply the flower of the moment, not realizing that it has the knowledge of its own past histories; and all of this would be but one cosmic flower.  Energy constantly renews itself.  The various flowers could then be compared to the various dimensions through which action and consciousness know their own reality.  The expansion of consciousness automatically leads you to understanding and compassion.
