The Brain

“All of us, you and I, incarnated here, and we helped create this body and made the body self-perpetuating.  We did that, and that is in the mind of God.  This body is part of the mind of God.  But the reason that this becomes so important to us is because the human brain is a biocomputer.  It is a compelling statement, but it is.  It is a computer because a stream of consciousness, which you are, surrounds the body and is always moving through this brain.  Energy undulates.  That is why it is called the serpent.  Your consciousness and your energy hold this present body together.  So your present body is continuously being affected by and bathed in a stream of consciousness, as well as prior mind.”

The complete Mind of God

“The complete mind of God – that means all of your lifetimes, plus all of the lifetimes of every bacteria that was ever created, every entity that was ever created, anything that produces a mind – is called the mind of God.  Isn’t it interesting that you were taught that the mind of God was composed of the mind of angels?  Angels are stupid.  That would not be a very wise God.  The mind of God is not just about human beings either.  It is about ever bird that ever lived.  It is about every virus that ever lived.  Every tree produces mind.  Now that is what we call the mind of God.  So do you have it?  All of you do.  It sits right here in the lower cerebellum, the reptilian brain.  The name of that part of the brain is the lower cerebellum. It is the seat of the subconscious and the mind of God.”

Seven levels of the Earth plane

“This is called the first plane, and this is the body mass required for this plane.  Every level has its body.  Every level has its brain.  In other words, think of this.  There are seven heavens, which means there are seven levels which you can appear upon, and they are all determined by time. So, within this room we have six other levels at work.  You can’t go to every one of those levels unless you have a body to be there, because otherwise you would not be able to participate in that level.  Just for you to understand, all of you have bodies in the other levels, and this is the body that you currently have.”

The Mind of God

“Mind is not localized.  Consciousness and energy, inextricably combined, is everything.  Its potential is everything and “everything”, as potential, defines it, but its journey is to create from what it is.  The act of creating produces a mind, and that is what we give to what we call the mind of God.”

Ramtha's Definition of Thought

I love the way Ramtha makes such short, concise definitions that seem pretty obvious … and the last sentence here sums things up beautifully.  The challenge, of course, is to go from the intellectual understanding to the living the understanding.

“Mind is the mission" reminds me of the opening lines to the TV series “Mission Impossible”, with each lifetime being an episode.  Unlike “Mission Impossible”, each lifetime is a success even without struggle or detailed planning.

Personally, I think it’s much more fun to consciously follow this stream of conscious energy that is the source of our being and to steer our “life boat” in search of fulfillment, love and harmony … enjoying the ride, meeting our soul buddies along the way, and being the best expression of All That Is we can be in the context of this lifetime.

“A thought is a frozen moment, a memory of consciousness.  If we saw consciousness and energy as a stream, then the brain has the capacity to photograph sections of that stream and freeze them.  That moment of photography is called thought.
“Consciousness and energy is what you are.  Mind is the mission.  Thoughts make up the mind.”

The Earth Plane

“Contemplation in consciousness and energy is a moving into … How can the Void, one vast nothing, also have a mind?  Our journey is to make known the unknown, and every act of creating something out of nothing produces a mind, a memory.
“How long have you been doing this?  Approximately ten and a half million years.  You have been alive for ten and a half million years on this plane, on this earth, reincarnating, every incarnation into a new body.  Why would Spirit even need a body?  Because this plane is heavier than consciousness and energy. It is the product of it.  This plane is a mind.  Why would you want to come down here?  To make known the unknown, because you have never been here before.  It is called materiality, and you are the creators of it.  The purpose then of being lost into materiality is making it known, and if the only entity you have to make it know to is you, that is all that is sufficient.”

Mind

I love Ramtha's definition of mind: "the sum total of making known the unknown"!

“Now mind is another one of those words, isn’t it?  It is often confused with the brain.  “My mind has a headache”.  Well, your mind isn’t your brain.  It is often confused as consciousness, but it isn’t. Consciousness and energy is its parent. But what mind is, is the sum total of making known the unknown.
“So, in the beginning you are consciousness and energy, radiant being in the Void, one vast nothing, but you are aware of nothing.  If nothing was all that you were ever aware of, it would be a common place.  But the common place said to you, “Go and make known the unknown.  Find out who I am, what I am”.”

In the beginning

“In the beginning, all you were was consciousness and energy, which is everything there is.  In this context, what does it mean?  It means you are consciousness, which means awareness, which means Spirit.  It means that you, the traveler with a soul – consciousness and energy with its scribe, the soul – have lived multitudinous lifetimes in many incarnations and in many bodies.  The soul is that which is termed the scribe of all of your lifetimes.  If you are consciousness, which means you are aware, and energy, which means you are mobile, if you were everything in the beginning why would you be down here in the murk and the mire of the plane of demonstration?  What is the purpose of this life?  To gain mind.”

Quantum view of Astral and Causal Planes

Here are some thoughts I had about overlaying quantum mechanics on the planes associated with this reality using David Bohm's concept of unfolding and enfolding.

I refer to myself in this as "Process Al" ... that's what the Transcendors called me at one time and it probably best describes the function of my personality in this scheme.

By the way, Lazaris had said that we trap light to manifest our perceived reality (including the body) and that this manifestation process is "functioned by the quantum".  Interesting!

The Static Quantum State that is this incarnation is a state unfolded into the Astral Plane.  We then “pop” (unfold) moments of this state as our “Now’s”, indexed by time and space coordinates.  The Astral Plane is the collection of all probable states of the Universe.
The Causal Plane is the enfolded collection of Quantum States which could unfold into the particular AstralPlane that we have chosen.  The Causal Plane is the collection of all possible states of the Universe.
“Process Al” is the Quantum Operator on an enfolded state of physical Al – operating in each dimensional reality and all levels of creation.

"And now for something completely different"

The following post is a  bit of a segue into quotes from Ramtha's book "Who Are We Really?".

I start out by giving my understanding of the context for Ramtha, Seth and Lazaris's perspectives based upon the four Worlds of the Qabalah:

Ramtha tends to describe action in the World of Action.
Seth tends to describe action in the World of Formation.
Lazaris does both and includes the World of Causation.
All of them point to the World of Emanation, but little can be said.

Seth's Closing Thought

Well, this is the end of the extracts I've collected from the Seth books.  Seth ends on this beautiful, inspirational thought:

“You are supported, never abandoned, and always couched lovingly in the great yet intimate presence of All That Is, whose love forms your breath, your life, your death, as in which the unknown divinity is always blessed and ever known.
“It is known and unknown, forming all stages of creativity, and you are held within it, graced to be a part of the divine framework of All That Is.”

Lives growing continuously within

“In any case, there are new lives growing and maturing within each individual, whatever his or her age or circumstances.
“The idea of survival reaches far beyond this life experience, and each person has new physical and spiritual existences every ready – for there is no such thing as extinction.  Alive or dead in usual terms, you are always conscious and aware of yourselves, and you are always a part of universal ventures in which you have always been involved, whatever your states of consciousness.”

Eating habits

Here is Seth's recommendation on meal habits.  The Transcendors used to say: "A queen's breakfast, a king's lunch and a pauper's supper"; i.e., have your chocolate and sucrose/fructose in the morning, your major meal at lunch, and little at night (to sleep better and not put on weight by storing energy that can't be used while sleeping)  The other point they made was that a breakfast like bacon and eggs leads to drowsiness in the afternoon.   Interesting!

“Other people, in a well-meaning attempt to watch their weight, skip their breakfasts entirely – a very poor procedure.  It is far better to eat moderate amounts of food in all of the food ranges, and to consume smaller portions more often.  I realize that your social mores also dictate your eating habits – but four light meals a day will overall serve you very well, and give the body a more steady, regulated nourishment.”

Nature picks up human intent

Seth has often talked about the connection between humans and the natural environment.  In our current world situation with all the violence, political turmoil and fear-mongering by political leaders fuelled by the media …. it’s no wonder that more violent weather is being experienced around the planet.

Kryon has pointed out that Gaia is going through a transition, an upshift, and we’re invited to come along (apparently, the odds are that we do succeed!).  Gaia in partnership with humanity and other celestial entities are managing the transition to minimize the impact to life on Gaia … ours and the rest of nature.  We’re in good hands … if only we could calm down and enjoy the ride.

“Large masses of people become so convinced of God’s eventual vengeance and retribution that they begin to plan for it.
“Their lives became a way of avoiding pain instead of seeking out pleasure or satisfaction. …
“These people believe, of course, that any given situation will worsen, and be carried to its most disastrous end. …
“Such ideas affect every level of life, from the most microscopic onward. It is not that plants understand your ideas in usual terms – but that they do indeed pick up your intent, and in the arena of world survival, they have a stake.
“I do not want to romanticize nonhuman life either, or to overestimate its resources, but nature also has its own ways – and in those ways, it constantly works toward survival of life in general.  Nature may not bail you out, but it will always be there, adding its own vitality and strength to the overall good and health of the planet.
“Remember what I said earlier about the connections between disease and nondisease states. Communication flashes between viruses and microbes, and they can change in the wink of an eye.  Once again, then, ideas of the most optimistic nature are the biologically pertinent ones.

Scientific Dogma

The root problem with "main stream" science is that it is fundamentally materialistic and objective ... it assumes that the sensed reality is real and then develops theories to predict the evolution of that objective reality in time.  Shamans and Eastern Avatars ... and Christ and the Essenes ... knew that perceived reality was really conscious structured energy .... responding to mind (individually and collectively).  Here Seth points out the life-sucking implications of such scientific dogma.

“There are some people who believe that life is meaningless, that it has no purpose, and that its multitudinous parts fell together through the workings of chance alone.  Obviously, I am speaking here of scientific dogma, but such a dogma is far more religious than scientific, for it also expects to be believed without proof, on faith alone.
“Such ideas are bound to color any of their followers’ ideas about other subjects also: sexuality, economics, and certainly concepts of war and peace.
“Again, each portion of nature is propelled by the inner vitality, energy, and life force within it.  The physical body cannot flourish if the individual believes that it and its works are without meaning.  Such philosophies do not give man a stake in nature, or in the universe.”

Elder Flash-Backs

Today's Seth reminds me of the last time my mother spoke to me before her death.  She was in terminal Alzheimers and completely incapacitated at that time.  I saw her trying to speak so I leaned over and heard her say something that I couldn't understand.  At the time I was having sessions with the Transcendors (channelled by Rik Thurston) so I asked them.  The Transcendors said she was speaking to me in Atlantean ... we'd had several significant lifetimes there.  This was a great example of what Seth speaks about here.

“Old people often begin to exercise their own consciousness in ways that they had not done earlier.  There may be less diversions to take up their thoughts.  They may be lonely, and then quite surprisingly find themselves casting about for different kinds of experience – experience seemingly most difficult to achieve in the physical world under their present circumstances.

“Since they are often frightened and unsure of the future, they are more apt to cast their thoughts backwards into their early childhoods, reaching for their earliest memories, and mentally try to gain comfort from the remembered sounds of beloved voices, only to mentally glimpse other images than they expected, or to hear other voices than those for which they yearned.

“In fact, fragments of many episodes from many other lives may rush into their consciousness, and in most cases they are, of course, quite unprepared for the experience.  On the other hand, usually such episodes are highly reassuring, for along with them rides the inner assurance that life has been lived before, many times.

“The individuals involved may then return to normal consciousness, but if they talked or muttered while the affair was happening, any observers might take it for granted that delirium was involved.  Drugs should not be prescribed under those conditions, unless the patient becomes highly restless and confused, and requests them.  In most cases, however, the experiences do not leave any detrimental side effects.

"Bleed-throughs" from other lives

When I was in my teens we bought a Ouija board and my mother and I got instant success with it … we ended up contacting ourselves in an earlier lifetime that she had recurring dreams about.  That was the start of many years of reconstructing past lives … later with the help of the Transcendors.

“The reincarnational heritage is rich, however, and it can have a tendency to assert itself under certain conditions.
“I am not speaking of usual, but fairly unusual events, when, in one fashion or another, reincarnational memory seems to bleed through to the present life.  Again, this is not usual experience.  It happens infrequently.  On some occasions – sometimes in periods of poor health or seeming senility – such instances may occur.  They are more apt to happen in adolescence, though I do want to stress that we are speaking of extraordinary cases.”

Don't try too hard

Today’s Seth reminds me of playing a musical instrument … the harder one tries the less it sounds like music and the more it sounds like a machine playing a bunch of notes.  Getting the brain and limiting thoughts out of the way lets the soul and spirit dance.

This is what the popular expression "Let go and let God" really means:

“In terms of “starting over” at such a point, the main thing to remember is not to expect too much too fast, while recognizing that instantaneous cures are indeed probabilities.
“Again, mind games, the insertion of humor and diversion, are extremely valuable, so that you are not trying too hard.  Some people try too hard to be spontaneous, while others are frightened of spontaneity itself.  The knowledge of reincarnational lives is spontaneously held, and you can receive profound insights from that knowledge.  This occurs when you are not looking for it, but when you are familiar enough with the entire concept, so that you realize such knowledge is available.”

Suffering is chosen

It’s hard for a lot of people to get it that suffering is a choice … either “when” choosing the context of this lifetime or during the living of the lifetime … particularly buying into religious practices or political pressures that noblizesuffering (often as a means of control).

“… it should be realized that as uncomfortable as suffering is, it does somehow have a meaning in the context of your entire existence – again, that it was not thrust upon you by some unjust or uncaring exterior force or nature.
“To some degree, that kind of understanding can help alleviate suffering itself to some extent.  I am not advocating a fatalistic approach either, that says more or less: “I have chosen such and such an unfortunate condition at some level I do not understand, and therefore the entire affair is outside of my own hands. There is nothing I can do about it.”
“For one thing, again, almost all situations, including the most drastic, can be changed for the better to some extent, and the very attempt to do so can increase a person’s sense of control over his or her own circumstances.  This does not mean that those situations can be changed overnight in usual terms (though ideally that is also possible), but that the sense of control over one’s life encourages all of the mental and physical healing properties.”

Free Will

Life is a bit like a big game ... we choose a context (epoch, planet, reality, etc.) and attract our soul buddies to jump in and animate the avatars we manifest ... for the shear creative joy, to explore the unlimited dimensions of love and to discover what that reality feels like and what we would do in that context.

Our buddies have free will too ... so they often surprise us!

“I want to stress that within each life full free will operates once the conditions of that life are set.

“That is, if you have been born in poor or depressed circumstances, then free will will not alter the conditions of that birth.

“It can help you become wealthy in adult life through the choices that you make.  It should be helpful, and certainly somewhat comforting, to realize that even unfortunate birth conditions were not forced upon you by some outside agency, but chosen at inner levels of your own reality.

Life focuses

With an unlimited number of potential lifetimes and unlimited creativity, it’s no surprise that we choose different focuses/contexts/experiences in our various lifetimes.  That’s why it’s impossible to judge others on how “successful” they were … only they will know (in the afterlife).

Have a successful day ….

“You may therefore be trying out many different kinds of experiences, sometimes endowing yourself with super attributes and strengths, relying upon the body’s powers above all other considerations, while at the same time in another life you use and develop unusual mental abilities, enjoying the triumphs of creative thought, while largely ignoring the body’s agility and strength.
“I do not mean to imply that you necessarily deal with opposite kinds of behaviors, for there are endless variances – each unique – as consciousness expresses itself through physical sensation, and attempts to explore all of the possible realms of emotional, spiritual, biological, and mental existence.”

Lives share knowledge

“That is, you know about your other lives, basically, in the same way that you know how to breathe or digest your food.  A different kind of knowing is involved.
“This does not mean that all conscious knowledge about your own reincarnational existences is forever beyond you – for through various exercises you can indeed learn to recall some of that information.  It does mean, however, that you are innately aware of all of your existences, and that the knowledge gained in one life is automatically transferred to another, whether that life be present, past, or future.”

The Inner Self knows all

I refer to the Inner Self and the collective Inner Selves as “THEM” (like Frank DeMarco’s TGU “The Guys Upstairs”).

THEY know what THEY’re doing … in this life and all the others.  THEY also know all the probabilities and possibilities.  THEY are actually us … once we shift our focus from this 3D movie we’re playing in to the greater reality outside of this theatre Earth.

In the meantime, our job is to love, laugh and enjoy the experience … making choices and decisions that make life more beautiful and enhances the experience of THEM.

“The inner self is aware of all of your existences, in other words.  It sees where and how your many lives fit together. It is only because you are so oriented outward from birth that this inner self sometimes seems alien or distant and unrelated to the self that you know.  It would be impossible to be consciously aware of all of the infinitesimal details that exist in even one life; your consciousness would be so full and cluttered up that you would be unable to make choices, or to use free will.
“It would be even more difficult to try to handle the information of many lives at one time.  In your terms, “it” takes time to think, and you would be so caught up in thinking itself, that action would be impossible. The inner knowledge of all of your lives, from your point of view, is in the same category as those automatic processes that underlie your existence.”
(The Way Toward Health,Session June 17, 1984)
